SuperVillain Comics Owner Chris McIntosh poses with a stand-up poster of 'Loki' from the movie 'Thor.' SuperVillain Comics has been open since Nov. 26, 2013. Location: 189 Canaveral Plaza Blvd., Cocoa Beach Owner: Chris McIntosh of Cocoa Describe product/service: Comics, gaming souvenirs, memorabilia. Comic books are the biggest seller. New titles arrive every Wednesday. Opening day: Nov. 26. What were you doing before this? We had a shop similar to this for nine years outside Dallas. It was less of the novelty stuff and more of the gaming, like Pokemon and D and D (Dungeons and Dragons). We try to gear this for people who aren’t that deep into it. We’re trying for a more casual crowd because there are so many more of them. Why did you start this venture? I’m from Rhode Island, and I wanted to come back to the coast but not the cold. We thought we were going to go to Daytona Beach. We drove down to my parents, who at one point lived at Port St. Lucie, and we stopped at Ron Jon’s at 10:30 p.m., and it was bustling with people. We just knew this is where we had to be, and Cocoa Beach is beautiful. Sell us on your business in two sentences: I’ve got comics, products and anime (Japanese animation) you can’t get anywhere else. We travel every year to comic and anime conventions, so if there’s something we can’t get, I will hunt it down. Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Contact: 321-392-4988 or supervillaincomics.com. Attachments:
